Just want to take a moment to thank Trent and the great staff at Pub West for their hard work and willingness to let a trio of Old Fat Guys and our WONDERFUL band invade their establishment the last 4 years. It has been an honor to entertain you. And we hope to continue to do so for years to come. We are holding this years Old Fat Guy Idol at Brown Pub in Hinckley, IL. We all thought LONG and HARD before making the decision to move the event. The 3 Old Fat Guys are Waterman to our core, but the physical limitations of the building and the desire to present a great show for the WHOLE audience dictated that a move was the best thing to do. Trent owns Pub West the business but not Pub West the building. The wall separating the dining area from the bar area caused 30% or more of the audience to sit with a view of the backs of our heads. We discussed with Trent removing the wall, but his hands are tied because he doesn’t own the building. I hope no one feels we are being disloyal to Trent OR to Waterman, we just want EVERYONE in attendance to be able to see the whole show and come away with having had an evening of good food, drinks, and entertainment from 3 Old Fat Guys and the ALL Volunteer band we are so blessed to have backing us up. — Larry B. Larry Meredith, Mary Meredith Stryker and Dave Stryker will all be participating in the Susan G. Komen 3-Day this weekend. They are walking on behalf of all cancer victims. The donations made at Old Fat Guy Idol 2013, with other donations, have enabled them to walk to raise awareness of breast cancer, and make a contribution to cancer research, preventative services and education. Thanks to all who participated in and donated to Old Fat Guy Idol on April 20, a fundraiser for the Susan G. Komen 3-Day. The donations from our event totaled over $4500, which will be used for breast cancer research, preventative services and education.
